Features of Kansai International Airport Terminal 1
Kansai International Airport straddles Izumisano City, Tajiri Town, and Sennan City, 40 km from downtown Osaka. It is an international hub airport representing western Japan with 24-hour service operated by Kansai Airport Co. The airport has regular international flights, and many low-cost carriers (LCCs) fly in and out of the airport, connecting domestic and Asian cities.
Even if you arrive at KIX a little early, there are plenty of places to enjoy yourself. For a gourmet Kansai experience, we recommend the teppan-yaki restaurant Botejyu Yatai. Botejyu Yatai offers delicious okonomiyaki that is cooked right in front of your eyes after you order. There is also an Osaka specialty, takoyaki (octopus dumplings).
For shopping, we recommend KIX DUTY FREE in the Terminal 1 building. It is a duty free store that carries more than 100 brands of cosmetics, perfumes, fashion, etc., and sells items that are only available at the airport.
At "Sky Shop Town" on the 4th floor of KIX Observation Hall Sky View, which can be reached by shuttle bus, various goods such as KIX limited edition goods, stuffed animals, sweets, straps, mug cups, etc. are available for purchase, making it a great place to choose a souvenir.
