We are pleased to announce that "WiFiBOX," an "unprecedented Wi-Fi rental service" that allows users to rent a mobile Wi-Fi router easily and contactlessly, has been newly installed at the Sannomiya Information Gallery in Kobe's Sannomiya Center Gai ("Sannomiya HATENA"), and will begin service on November 16, 2023. The service will begin on November 16, 2023 (Thursday). This will be the first installation in Hyogo Prefecture.

Installation Background

Sannomiya Station is the largest terminal station in Kobe, with numerous train lines and bus terminals, as well as large commercial facilities and hotels, making it the busiest shopping area in Kobe. The Kobe Sannomiya Center-gai, one of Kobe's representative shopping streets, is conveniently located about a 2-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, and the area around Sannomiya HATENA, a general information center and gallery space located in the center, is bustling with many people because of its unique characteristics.
In the Kansai area, the company has already installed its information centers at seven facilities and ten locations: Kansai International Airport Terminals 1 and 2, Itami Airport, Kyoto Tourist Information Center (Kyo-Navi), Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit MK Taxi Stand, Smart Phone Repair Studio Osaka Namba Walk, and Kansai University Co-op on the Senriyama Campus. The new locations in Kobe City are expected to further increase convenience for customers traveling overseas who wish to pick up their phones before departure, for temporary use for sightseeing or business, and for pickup and return at locations near train stations as well as at airports.
