We are pleased to announce that our WiFiBOX self-service Wi-Fi rental service, which allows customers to easily rent a mobile Wi-Fi router using a contactless connection, will be available in the 1st floor domestic arrival lobby and international arrival lobby at Hakodate Airport, the 1st floor domestic arrival lobby at Asahikawa Airport from November 8, 2023 (Wednesday), and in the 1st floor arrival lobby at New Chitose Airport Domestic Terminal Building from November 16, 2023 (Thursday). The New Chitose Airport Domestic Terminal Building 1st Floor Arrivals Lobby will begin service on November 16, 2023 (Thursday).
This will bring the total number of WiFiBOX locations in Hokkaido to 5, following our counter at the New Chitose Airport International Terminal Building, bringing the total to 46 facilities and 53 locations as of November 16 (Thu), when the WiFiBOX is scheduled to be installed at the New Chitose Airport Domestic Terminal Building. In addition, we will continue to actively install WiFiBOXes at domestic airports, train stations, and commercial facilities to further improve customer convenience.

Background of Installation
Hokkaido has always been a popular tourist destination for domestic and international travelers who enjoy winter sports, food, and nature. Hakodate Airport and Asahikawa Airport, which have international flights other than New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, both resumed regular international flights in May 2023 for the first time in about three years. New Chitose Airport also resumed flights to Seoul in July 2022, followed by Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, and many other destinations, and now offers flights to eight destinations. In addition, since many foreign visitors to Japan use domestic flights at New Chitose Airport, we have decided to install WiFi boxes at four locations at three airports in order to meet the needs of many domestic travelers using Hokkaido airports, overseas travelers from Japan, and foreign visitors to Japan.
