Background
Iwate Hanamaki Airport has recovered to about 80% of its pre-Corona disaster level, with approximately 380,000 passengers in FY2022, or 184.7% of the FY2021 level. In addition, in January 2023, Morioka was listed as the second best place to visit in the "52 Places to Visit in 2023" by the New York Times, and the number of foreign visitors to Japan is increasing rapidly.
Also, Iwate Hanamaki Airport is located in a convenient location for sightseeing and return trips to Morioka City and Chuson-ji Temple, a World Heritage Site, which is only about 50 minutes away by car. In addition to the needs of domestic travelers who travel to Japan via New Chitose and Fukuoka, as well as the needs of overseas travelers from Japan, the number of inbound foreign travelers using flights to Taipei is expected to increase. Therefore, we have decided to install WiFi boxes in order to meet the needs of a greater number of users.
