Background

Tokyo City i is a comprehensive tourist information center located on the first basement floor of KITTE, a one-minute walk from the Marunouchi South Exit of JR Tokyo Station. It provides information and arrangement services in four languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean) for domestic and international visitors to Tokyo in a wide range of areas including transportation, dining, lodging, events, and entertainment. The facility has an information zone that introduces tourist attractions in Tokyo and other parts of Japan, a performance zone that hosts travel and tourism-themed events, and a café where visitors can enjoy eating and drinking while freely browsing travel guidebooks and other materials. The WiFiBOX is a facility where not only tourists but also people who love to travel gather for information.
The WiFiBOX service is available at NewDays Yaesu Chuo ticket gate on the first floor of JR Tokyo Station, and the installation of the WiFiBOX at Tokyo City i will allow customers to pick up and return WiFi without entering the ticket gates of the JR line. The Tokyo City i is located on the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station, so the service will be available at both the Yaesu and Marunouchi exits of Tokyo Station, which we believe will further enhance convenience.
