Our new overseas Wi-Fi rental service "WiFiBOX" released on April 1, 2022, has received the Good Design Award for 2022 (sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion).
Conventional international Wi-Fi rentals are delivered in person with a Wi-Fi router and AC adapter bundled in a special pouch, but "WiFiBOX" combines a mobile battery and Wi-Fi functionality by storing the charging cable in the device, eliminating the need for extra luggage and automating the receiving and returning process. This year's Good Design Award highly evaluated the service design for its multifaceted multiple benefits, such as responding to non-personal needs at the Corona Disaster, eliminating cumbersome procedures and queues for users, reducing operating costs, and securing extra space at the installation site.
The service is currently provided at Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, and Kansai International Airport, and will be installed at other airports and non-airport locations to further improve convenience and support the communication environment in a variety of scenarios.

Comment from Masayasu Tamura, Product Producer and CEO
Thank you very much for the prestigious Good Design Award, WiFiBOX will revolutionize our business model from the conventional polite customer service at the counter to an automatic sharing model. However, this was made possible by our pursuit of our unchanging philosophy, which we have cherished for many years. We hope you will take advantage of WiFiBOX, a "new value" that we have confidently offered after deciphering the changing latent needs following the Corona Disaster.
Evaluation comments by the Good Design Award jury
This service automates the rental of mobile WiFi/batteries without face-to-face contact. In addition to meeting the non-face-to-face needs of the Corona Disaster, this service has the potential to have multiple benefits: it eliminates complicated procedures and lines for users, reduces operating costs for the operator, and allows the airport to have extra space. The award was also given high marks for its implementation capabilities, including its ability to penetrate the market from the first month.
