Service to begin June 9 at Sakasai Premium Outlets

We are pleased to announce the launch of "WiFiBOX," an unprecedented Wi-Fi rental service that allows customers to easily rent a mobile Wi-Fi router using a contactless connection, at the Shisui Premium Outlets from Friday, June 9, 2023. We are pleased to announce that we will begin offering the "WiFiBOX" service at the Shisui Premium Outlets on June 9, 2023.

The WiFiBOX service will be installed for the first time in an outlet mall, and will be available in the food court of the Shisui Premium Outlets in order to meet the needs of both foreign visitors to Japan and domestic customers who are short of giga (gigabytes). This brings the total number of WiFiBOXes installed to 20 locations at 15 facilities. We will continue to expand the service to more commercial facilities in the future to further improve customer convenience.

Background

Shisui Premium Outlets" is one of the largest outlet malls in the Kanto region, featuring approximately 220 stores of well-known domestic and international brands in a building designed in the image of American Art Deco. The convenience of the location, which is approximately 50 minutes from central Tokyo and 15 minutes from Narita Airport by car, has attracted many foreign visitors to Japan, and the direct express bus service from Narita Airport that has been in operation since its opening in 2013 was used by a total of approximately 1 million passengers. The direct bus service, which was suspended in the wake of the Corona disaster, resumed in March of this year, and an increase in the number of visitors to Narita Airport is expected again in the future.

In light of this situation, the Shisui Premium Outlets and WiFiBOX are expected to meet the demand for WiFiBOX pickup by foreign visitors to Japan before and after using Narita Airport, for temporary use when visiting the store during long transit periods, and for domestic use to meet charging needs during visits to the store and to counter the shortage of giga at the end of the month. We decided to install the WiFiBOX because we believe it will improve the convenience of both the Shisui Premium Outlets and the WiFiBOX.
